#MICROSOFT OUTLOOK INBOX REPAIR TOOL KEEPS CRASHING WINDOWS 7#
Then i fresh installed Outlook 2007 on my windows 7 system and try to restore the backup pst file but here problem started. i backup pst file and then uninstall outlook 2003 and outlook 2007. Versions available on my system and i think that was the problem. Earlier i was using outlook 2003 and later on i was trying to use the outlook 2003 pst files in outlook 2007. Well i had also face similar condition few weeks ago when i had upgraded my os from windows vista to windows 7 home premium. Once opened on 2010, my PST went from 311Mb to 71Mb, and it has exactly the same data! THANKS TO ALL!!! Javier Tarrio Madrid, Spain Nokia Suite identified the changes quickly and worked flawlessly, not a single error! Will keep trying to make my PST the default one without having Outlook crash! One thing I've noticed is that PST files occupy A LOT LESS space with Outlook 2010. Not long ago I had a Dell Axim and everytime I would change computer it was a pain in the **** to transfer everything to the new computer. Was quite afraid because it was the 1st sync between the phone and Win7, and I had made losts of changes to the phone in the past 3 weeks. On the Nokia Suite settings I told the program to sync with my PST instead of the default one, so all went awesome. Up to now, I've managed to set my email accounts to place my incoming email in the desired PST, so no problem with that! Also, managed to set my Contacts & Calendar as default on my PST (for Contacts you have to choose the Contacts folder, right click, properties, Outlook adress book (i'm translating from spanish, sorry!), and check Show folder as adress book) Sync with my Nokia N95 was easy & went really well with Nokia Suite (Ovi Suite has no Win7 version yet). I'm currently cleaning up lots of junk to see if later on I can set it as the default PST. Outlook will be able to start correctly after a reload but that's a pain in the butt.ġ) Where outlook would store a crash log if it creates oneģ) What might be causing outlook0.ost to become unreadable to Outlook yet show readable by Windows 7.Ok! Finally managed to get things working, though I can't set my PST as the default one, it makes Outlook Crash! So I have an empty PST, and I open my other containers. But I think Windows 7 has it locked somehow. Have all the necessary permissions (Full control, Modiy, Read & execute, Read, Write). Also, I can look at the Security tab and see that I File recovery is stopping" I can right click on the file and look at the properties and it doesn't have a check next to read only. Do you want to scan the file anyway?" When I choose yet, I get the message that "The Microsoft Outlook Inbox Repair Tool can You can scan this file but you do not have permission to repair it. My second problem is that after a couple days of it crashing, it will display an error when starting "Your Outlook data file cannot be configured." I've tried running scanpst.exe which find the file but is unable to open it.

I have thought that maybe I could disable plugins and see if it continues to crash but I'm not sure how to do that. It crashes 2-3 times a day during working hours. It doesn't give me any error message, just goes away and locks up my laptop for 10-15 second and then restarts.
My Outlook keeps crashing and I'm wondering if it produces a log file or anything that I can reference to see why.
